These blueprints for the sound system at Graceland and George Nichopoulos' home ("Dr. Nick") come directly from the personal collection of Elvis Presley’s sound engineer and long time friend, the legendary Bill Porter. This blueprint archive consists of the original 36" X 24" blueprints from architect Bill Nixon, dated August 15, 1975, titled "ADDITION TO RESIDENCE, At Graceland..." A detailed, handwritten note from Nixon to Porter reviews the "layout and location of the conduit & pull wire for your sound installation." A second set of 36" x 24" blueprints dated October 23, 1975 titled "Sound System Conduit Layout" gives further details. In addition there are two smaller 18" x 12" blueprint "subsets" for the "ELEVATION OF RIGHT SIDE OF SPEAKERS". Accompanying these Graceland blueprints is a 5" x 8" yellow lined notepad filled with notes taken by Porter regarding the installation. Also included in this archive are the original 36" x 24" sound system blueprints that were drawn up for the Memphis home of Dr. George Nichopoulos (Elvis's personal physician Dr. Nick), which Porter also installed. Porter is renowned for engineering nearly all of Elvis’ post 1960 hits until his death in 1977. Recording with Elvis in the celebrated “Studio B” in Nashville, Porter helped to craft some of Elvis’ greatest hits including, “Are You Lonesome Tonight” and “It’s Now or Never". Porter’s album recordings with Elvis include “Elvis Is Back”, “His Hand In Mine,” “Pot Luck”, and “Something for Everybody”. Bill went on the road with Elvis from 1969 to 1977 and recorded many of Elvis’ “Live In Las Vegas” shows. Overall very good condition. Comes with a letter from Bill Porter's family. Estimate: $3,000 - $4,000.
