Katy Perry wore this vintage gold lamé dress in her music video for the hit song “I Kissed A Girl.” The dress, by Alix of Miami, featured an accordion pleated skirt. The dress was Katy’s signature costume worn throughout the majority of the video. “I Kissed A Girl” was the lead single off of Katy’s 2008 release “One Of The Boys” and topped the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for seven consecutive weeks, becoming the 100th chart-topper of the Rock Era. The song topped the charts in over 20 countries, including Australia, Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The song was nominated for a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and was performed by the singer at the 51st Grammy Awards. A limited edition “I Kissed A Girl” Katy Perry doll wearing this exact dress was issued by Integrity Toys following the song’s success. The dress was leased by the Palace Costume Company directly to the production company for use by Katy in the video. The dress is in vintage condition as seen in the video with some evidence of age.
