This is Elvis Presley’s owned and worn “Mr. Tiger” 18 karat gold ring depicting a roaring tiger’s head with over 4 karats of champagne colored diamonds decorated on the mane with ebony inlay to denote the  tiger’s stripes. Elvis trained from 1970 to 1974 under Master Kang Rhee in Memphis, Tennessee. During this four-year period under Master Rhee, Elvis, like all the other students, selected an animal title by which to be addressed in the training area. Elvis first chose “Mr. Panther” but changed that name to “Mr. Tiger” due to political implications associated with the name "Panther" at that time. Comes with a photo of Elvis wearing the ring and a letter of provenance from Ed Parker, Elvis’ close friend and Karate teacher for many years.
