This is the front and back original acryllic paintings for Billy Joel's album "Piano Man." The album is a double platinum album and the record that made Billy Joel. It is ranked in the top 100 rock and roll albums of all time by Rolling Stones Magazine. He is also the 4th top selling recording artist of all time and this album is pretty much the reason for that. The artwork was done by Bill Imhoff who has done many album covers over the years. Each piece measures 13 x 14 on 15 x 20 heavy illustration boards. This artwork came from Tony Lawrence who was Billy Joel's product manager in the 70's and Billy gave it to him when the record came out. Included is a hand signed letter from Tony Lawrence stating this. Very rare for the original art for an album of this magnitude to come up for public sale. This was Billy Joels first album with Columbia and one of the company's biggest records for any artist. A true centerpiece of any rock memorabilia collection! They are in excellent condition.
