This prison uniform was worn by the character “Paul Crewe” portrayed by actor Burt Reynolds in the 1974 motion picture “The Longest Yard”. This uniform consists of a white short-sleeve shirt with patch pocket, blue trim on the collar, and white pants with blue side stripes. Both garments have the original “State Prison” and Prisoner # “61394” stamped on the back as seen in the film. Internal Paramount cleaning tags are located in both garments. The sleeves were cut off for use in a subsequent production.

Part of the film was shot on location at the Georgia State Penitentiary in Reedsville, Georgia. Costume supervisor, Charlie James, prepped for two weeks inside the prison and commissioned the inmates serving time to make the prison uniforms worn in the film.

This costume is in good screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house issued by The Golden Closet, photos of Burt Reynolds wearing the uniform in the film, and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
