Jerry Garcia Band 1976 Concert Poster

An awesome original second printing poster for the appearance of the Jerry Garcia Band at the Delmar Theatre, Santa Cruz, California on August 19, 1976. The 11" X 17” poster is a graphically stunning picture rendition of Jerry Garcia standing atop the theatre marquee looking down at a street scene depicting a legion of fans made up of famous comic strip characters and Hollywood celebrities including Humphrey Bogart, Groucho Marx, Superman, Popeye, and Fred Flintstone to name a few. Band members featured on the poster by name are Keith and Donna Godchaux, John Kahn, and Ron Tutt. Grateful Dead front man Jerry Garcia founded the band in 1975 and toured sporadically with them in between performing with the “Dead,” until his death in 1995. Very good condition. Estimate: $200 - $300.
