George Harrison owned and played tambourine. From the collection of the late Irwin Pate who passed away in May 2018. Irwin was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States and Internationally and during his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew George Harrison; they had met several times and Irwin booked and promoted a few of George's shows. During one of their meetings Irwin told George about his collection and George then gifted Irwin a few items, including this well-used tambourine that he no longer needed. The tambourine has been in the Pate's collection since that time. The images here are of the Beatles using very similar tambourines. Very good, vintage condition. All the Beatles can be seen playing a similar tambourine. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine Pate on the Pate company letterhead, and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
