Elvis Presley Stage Used Custom Shure Microphone

Elvis Presley stage used custom Shure Brothers Incorporated microphone, Model DY 45G, Unidyne IIII Dynamic, with white gaffer's tape wrapped around the cord. The microphone has "Elvis" engraved onto it. Microphone itself measures approx 7.5 inches in length. Elvis used this microphone during rehearsals, live performances and during some of the his all-night gospel sings they would often do. The microphone originally came from the collection of Charlie Hodge who was with a group called the Foggy Mountain River Boys when he first met and worked with Elvis. He met Elvis again when they were going off to Germany in the U.S. Army. Elvis and Charlie were good friends and Charlie lived at Graceland in a converted apartment Elvis made for him and he lived there until Elvis passed away in 1977. Charlie was Elvis' stage director, sang harmony on stage with him, and handed Elvis his scarves. He also helped him with the set lists for the shows and appeared as an extra in many of his films. The microphone comes with a letter from Charlie Hodge and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll® Certificate of Authenticity.
