Stuart Sutcliffe handwrote this three page love letter to Astrid Kirchherr on the last night of his being a Beatle. Paul McCartney was official the Beatles bass player the next day. Sutcliffe wrote "Tonight I play once more with the Beatles" and goes on to say how he'll be thinking of her, even wearing her jeans and sweater, and how he can't wait to see her at the airport. Stuart has included drawings in the letter, including a self-portrait of him playing the guitar singing "I Love Astrid". This page, number 5, was included in the famed Genesis Publications book "Hamburg Days" on page 126. Stuart wrote Astrid many love letters, very exuberant, tender and full of his huge love for her. Astrid showed this partial letter (pages 4, 5, 6) to John Rauch of the Rockstore when they were going through her Beatles items, and Rauch immediately commented that there were several pages missing. Astrid replied that there was some very personal content on the other pages and only page 5 was included in "Hamburg Days". She said she had kept pages 4,5, and 6 and had destroyed the others. Measures 8 x 10. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
