Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus signed this magazine cover with a black felt pen. Palmer and Nicklaus — known as “The King” and “The Golden Bear” — are two of the greatest and most impactful golfers of all time. As two of “The Big Three” (with Gary Player), they were trailblazers of the television age of Golf which began in the 1950s. Palmer won 62 PGA Tour Titles between 1955 and 1973, and as a charismatic man with a humble background he helped change the image of golf to be more accessible outside of the upper-class.
