This is a rare college basketball program for the 36th annual meeting between two of the nations biggest intra-city rivals, NYU vs. C.C.N.Y. playing to end their regular season at Madison Square Garden, NYC. CCNY led by its famous Coach, Nat Holman would move on to become the first team in history to win the NIT and NCAA Championships in the same year. Strangely enough several CCNY players were later implicated in the college point-fixing scandal that involved numerous players and seven colleges from 1947-1950. The mystery of CCNY's regular season is discussed in an article in this program, "It was confusing and not amusing to Holman...The bottom had suddenly dropped out...games, which at one time appeared to be breathers, became stiff struggles." The program is unscored and signed with "ghost-written" signatures in blue fountain pen ink. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
