Framed with an original 1931 W517 card of player Art Shires is the original proof photograph of Shires batting exactly as depicted on his card. Interestingly, the photograph of Shires depicts him with detailed painted lettering playing with the Boston Braves of the National League to whom he was traded at the end of the 1931 season after playing with the Milwaukee Brewers of the American Association where he had won the AA batting title. Prior, Shires played with the Chicago White Sox (1928-1930) (and Washington Senators 1930). On the actual card Shires is pictured on the Chicago White Sox. Excellent condition. Framed 12 X 20. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
