This New York Football Giants stadium artifact is an actual piece of Astroturf played on during their 1986 Championship season. Since the New York Giants celebrate their third Super Bowl Championship with their defeat of the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII and proceed with plans to occupy a brand new stadium scheduled for completion in 2010; this three-inch square piece of turf is a fine memento of their very first Super Bowl win when they defeated the Denver Broncos 39 to 20 in Super Bowl XXI. This turf piece belonging to Giants history is handsomely mounted to a 6.75” X 9.25" wooden easel backed display with a mounted plaque that reads "A Piece of Giants Stadium Celebrating The 1986 Championship Season." A copy of a 1990 letter from the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority certifying the use of this playing surface during the Giants 1986 Championship season accompanies this historic "game used" artifact along with an this 8" x 10" color photograph signed by Cedric Jones in silver pen. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Certificate of authenticity for the signed photograph and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity for the entire lot.
