Willis R. Whitney Handwritten Signed Letter (Founder General Electric Labs).

An extensive handwritten signed note / letter on a 5.25 X 4.375 autograph album page dated August 24, 1932 signed by Willis R. Whitney, chemist and founder of the research laboratory of the General Electric Company.

Known as the “father of industrial research,” Whitney was the recipient of many medals and awards and was a big believer in researching and experimenting for pleasure as expressed in his note in which he writes, “Let a boy make a little cavity in the end of a green stick and put into it one of those grubs found inside recently fallen oak branches….Some such amusement might start a young industrialist…” Signed at the end “Yours W.R. Whitney.”

Dimensions: 5.25 in X 4.375 in.

Condition: Very good, with vertical fold line in the center of the page.

Authenticity: Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
