This Harmony amplifier, was originally one of two, identical models, which were the first, good amplifiers that “The Rolling Stones” owned. They were originally purchased by Brian Jones; around the time he joined the group and they changed their name from “Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys” to “The Rolling Stones”. Taylor made the change from guitar to bass around the same time and this increased “firepower” in the sound meant that they urgently needed more powerful amplifiers.

The two Harmony amps were used throughout Taylor’s time in “The Rolling Stones”, until Taylor left at the end of 1962. He went on to form “The Pretty Things” but maintained a strong friendship and close relationship with Mick, Keith and Brian. From the Dick Taylor Collection. Dick Taylor was an early bassist for the Rolling Stones and was a part of their first recordings and live performances. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Dick Taylor and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
