Steve McQueen's Western Costume Co. denim jacket that he wore in his 1972 film "Junior Bonner" directed by famed director Sam Peckinpah. The jacket bears the Western Costume Co. label inside the jacket with McQueen's name printed on it. McQueen liked the jacket so much that he also wore it personally. McQueen gifted the jacket to his friend Dennis Roberts. Roberts, the "eyeglass make to the stars" opening his store The Optique Boutique on Hollywood's Sunset Strip in 1968. His first customer was Steve McQueen and over the years me made custom-made glasses to many iconic stars such as Elvis Presley, Sammy Davis, Jr, Elton John, and Andy Williams. Steve and Dennis became friends over the numerous visits Steve made to the shop. Very good condition. Accompanied by a letter from Dennis Roberts attesting to McQueen giving him the jacket, a photo from the movie showing McQueen wearing the jacket, as well as a photo of McQueen with Paul Newman, Barbra Streisand and Sidney Poitier, again wearing the jacket.
