Robert Johnson who Eric Clapton famously called “the most important bluesman who ever lived" was the bluesman's bluesman, the most famous of all the Delta blues players. His vocal phrasing, original songs, and guitar style influenced many generations of players, and many consider him to be the Grandfather of Rock and Roll.
