Simon and Garfunkel have signed this circa 1957 8 x 10 black and white original promotional photograph, signed to promoter Sid Prose's "Big Records" when they were 15 years old, and still in high school at Forest Hills High School under their "Tom and Jerry" stage names. Simon has written, "Good luck! Tommy Graph" and Garfunkel has signed "Bob Best Wishes Tom & Jerry". Before they were Simon & Garfunkel they were "Tom and Jerry" This is a historically significant photograph, the first that we encountered signed as such. Simon and Garfunkel assumed the name Tom & Jerry; Garfunkel named himself Tom Graph, a reference to his interest in mathematics, and Simon Jerry Landis, after the surname of a girl he had dated. The photograph was distributed by Big Records/Sid Prose. The photograph has a few tears, most significantly on the upper right and bottom left corners. 8 X10. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll® Certificate of Authenticity.
