An extraordinary historic President John F. Kennedy archive, featuring the commemorative coin used by President John F. Kennedy for the pregame coin flip at the Army-Navy football game on December 1, 1962 at the Philadelpha Stadium. Custom matted and framed with additional ephemera from that historic day, in a display measuring 39 x 1 x 34 The coin is 1.25" in diameter. The President's fellow Midshipmen defeated the Army Cadets that day 34-14, no doubt due to them winning the President's coin toss!
Accompanying this historic coin are 8 x 10 White Houseo photographs of Kennedy on the field and in the stands, a Washington Post newspaper clipping about the game with a picture of Kennedy in mid coin flip, a full, unused game ticket, an official Army-Navy parking pass, Army-Navy emphera including handpainted signed, ribbons and a button, as well as a 1962 Army-Navy employee badge. Also included in the display are original menus from the Presidential train and helicopter.
