Susie Davis started working for Sheila E in June of 1984 just in time to ride the incredible wave of Prince’s Purple Rain movie and tour. The first time Davis met Prince was on June 21 when he came to our rehearsals in Los Angeles to help get us ready to hit the road as his opening act. Five days later Davis got to attend the Purple Rain Movie Premier at Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. It was a very exciting time! These are a set of 7 photographs from the movie. Davis was the former keyboard player for Sheila E and has toured with legendary artists such as Prince, Mick Jagger, Sheila E, Billy Idol, Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor, and many others. Davis performed with Prince and the Revolution during the “Purple Rain” tour. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
