Janis Joplin owned and used brass-toned trinket box with blue stones. From the collection of the late Irwin Pate who passed away in May of 2018. Pate was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States. During his career, Pate, and his wife Clarine Pate, obtained a large collection of personal clohting and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Pate knew Janis Joplin and worked wither her on a few occasions in the 1960's. During one of their meetings Pate told Joplin about his collection. She then gifted him some items including this brass toned and blue stone trinket box. In very good condition, with a couple of the blue stones missing. Comes with a letter from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine, on their PBA Page Booking Agency letterhead stating that this box belonged to Janis Joplin, and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
