This is a custom brown suede leather top made for Janis Joplin and was possibly worn on stage by her. It is a size Small. Comes from the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Joplin. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and this top comes with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
