With an affidavit that the account submitted is “to their best knowledge and belief justly and truly made out that the several articles of which it is imposed are charged at the going price and delivered to the several persons to whom they are charged”. Evidence, without question, that the towns as well as the State of Connecticut were concerned with the welfare of the families of men fighting in the Continental Service.
