38th President of the United States Gerald Ford signed this photo of himself with a blue felt pen. Ford served as President of the United States from 1974 until 1977, taking office after the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Ford was also Vice-President under Nixon’s first-term, and is the only person in United States history to serve as both the Vice-President and President without being voted in by the Electoral College.
