American cartoonist, animator, and film producer Walter Lantz signed and inscribed this photograph of himself with Woody Woodpecker using a blue steel-tip fountain pen. The inscription is to “Edward,” and is written in correspondence with Walt’s wife Gracie. Lantz is most known for creating Woody Woodpecker and founding Walter Lantz Productions. Very Good condition. Measures 4” x 4.875”. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Certificate of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
