This lot contains three different envelopes, each signed by a cartooning and illustration legend. Stan Goldberg, whose iconic style is immortalized in the “Archie” comics series, signed one envelope dated December 1, 1973, with a black pen and included a drawing of Archie. Goldberg is also known for being a colorist at Marvel Comics and helping design Spiderman and the Fantastic Four. The second envelope is signed by Jim Davis — the creator of “Garfield” — using a black steel-tip fountain pen and is dated February 10, 1975. The final envelope is signed by Al Hirschfeld and dated October 9, 1981. Hirschfeld is best known for his caricatures of famous Broadway stars as well as commissions for countless newspapers and magazines. Very Good condition. Each envelope measures 6.5” x 3.75”. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Certificates of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity for each envelope.
