American pop artist Roch Lichtenstein signed this promotional handout for his 1988 exhibit using a pen. Lichtenstein was one of the premiere figures of the pop art movement that dominated the 1960s. He and his contemporaries Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Peter Max, and others, helped define the decade. Lichtenstein himself was noted for his comic strip style, Ben-Day dots, and narrative content, and his most famous works are considered to be “Whaam!” and “Drowning Girl.” In January 2017, his painting “Masterpiece” sold for $165 million. Very Good condition. Measures 11” x 4”. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
