Queen front man Freddie Mercury's owned and worn "FM" initial sterling silver chain button bar. With the sterling silver stamp on the inside of the "M". From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Freddie Mercury. Irwin knew Freddie and worked with him on a few occasions. During one of their meetings Irwin told Freddie about his celebrity collection and Freddie gifted Irwin a few items, including this sterling silver chain button bar with Freddie's initials "FM" that has been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Very good condition. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and this item comes with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
