Jimi Hendrix owned and worn Dandy's purple velvet Nehru-style collar tunic with three button cuffs, and elaborate brocade trim on the collar and on the front of the tunic covering the buttons. With the "Dandy Kings Road, Chelsea" label. Located in London, Dandy's was one of Jimi's favorites, and one which he frequented often. Very good condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Hendrix's tour manager Tom Hulett of Concerts West which handled booking, security and more for Jimi's tours. It was Tom Hulett who, upon Hendrix's unexpected death, flew to England to bring his body home. In appreciation for Tom doing this, Jimi's father Al Hendrix gave Tom this shirt, along with other pieces of Jimi's wardrobe. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
