Elvis Presley's owned and concert tour used silver shot cups, one etched with his initials "E.A.P." and the other one "E. Presley". From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Elvis Presley. Irwin worked with Elvis and his manager Colonel Tom Parker several times during the 1970's. Irwin obtained these shot glasses after working with Elvis on a concert. Elvis left the glasses behind after checking out of his hotel room. Hotel management contacted Irwin and Irwin picked them up from the hotel office. The glasses have been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and these shot glasses come with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
