In 1966, Pelham R. Burnett, Lt CO. USAF Retired was a commercial pilot for a civil airplane. The company operated out of airbases in Japan. During the last week of June 1996, Burnett was quartered at the Hilton Hotel. It was there Burnett met John Lennon. Burnett mentioned to Lennon that his sister, Annette Taylor, was the president of the Beatle’s Fan Club in Salt Lake, Utah. It was one of the biggest clubs in the west United States. Lennon had just drawn out the figure prior to meeting Burnett, and gave the drawing to Burnett telling him to give it to his sister. An incredible drawing done by Lennon in blue ink. Measures 8 x 10. Very good condition. Comes with newspaper clippings related to the drawing, a letter of provenance, and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
