Signature cut of showman, politician and philanthropist P. T. Barnum, founder of the Barnum & Bailey Circus (1871) cut from a document that he has signed as President the seal of the Bridgeport Hospital, Connecticut and the signatures of several other officers of the hospital. (9 X 2.75). Credited with originating the phrase “There’s a sucker born every minute,” his circus was billed as the Greatest Show on Earth. Framed 15.5 X 9.5. Very good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
