Signed check from Lewis Wallace who served as Union General during the Civil War and later as the 11th Governor of the New Mexico Territory. 7.25 X 3 check dated November 8, 1882 drafted from the Elston Bank of Crawfordsville, Indiana is made out in Wallace’s hand. A participant in many major battles during the War, Wallace also served on the military commission for the trials of the Abraham Lincoln assassination conspirators. Framed with a 6 X 8 facsimile signed photographic engraving of Wallace. Framed 12 X 17. Very good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
