The Big Bopper (aka. Jiles Perry “J. P.” Richardson Jr.) has signed and inscribed this original Mercury Records publicity photograph, “To Bob Thankfully The Big Bopper,” in blue fountain pen. A singer, songwriter, musician and disc jockey whose most famous composition was “Chantilly Lace,” Richardson was killed the 1959 fatal plane crash that also took the lives of Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens. 8 X 10. Good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
