President William Howard Taft has signed this document dated August 3rd, 1910 appointing a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy. The document is also signed by the Acting Secretary of the Navy. William Howard Taft was the 27th president of the United States and the tenth Chief Justice of the United States, the only person to have held both offices. 16 X 20. Some visible holes in the paper near the top and to the left of the blue Naval Seal. Good condition.
