Judy Garland's owned and used brown leather hard make-up case that she left behind in her dressing room after her concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City. From the personal collection of the widow of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. Pate promoted talent all over the United States and during his four decade career he and his wife obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. In the 1960's Pate booked and worked with many artists - the main artist he worked with was James Brown. James Brown sold out Madison Square Garden in April, 1968. The year before, in 1967, Judy Garland performed at Madison Square Garden. While working at the Garden, Pate befriended an employee of the venue and he obtained this make-up case from the employee. Overall very good, vintage condition. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Irwin Pate's widow Clarine M. Pate on W.A.C. Entertainment & Pate letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
