Elvis Presley's acoustic guitar with tobacco and sunburst finish was used by Elvis in the making of his MGM film "The Trouble With Girls". After the movie Elvis kept the guitar, which he often did. The guitar is stamped MGM in the sound hole, and Elvis used it in the scene where he sings "Clean Up Your Own Backyard" (a song that was written by Mac Davis who wrote Elvis' hits, "In The Ghetto", "Don't Cry Daddy", "A Little Less Conversation"). Elvis subsequently gave the guitar to Charlie Hodge, a long-time close friend, who served as Elvis' stage director and personal aide, and also kept track of Elvis' guitars. He would also hand Elvis his scarves and water while he was performing, help him with set lists and sing harmony with him on stage. Charlie as an extra in many of Elvis's films and lived at Graceland for 17 years until Elvis' passing. Very good condition. This guitar came from Charlie's personal collection of items that Elvis had given him over the years and is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Charlie on his personal letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
