Tupac Shakur wrote this letter in prison to his girlfriend at the time Simi. The letter has to deal with his care for Simi and Tupac’s own personal problems in prison. Tupac was afraid for his life but believed in god to get him through it. Tupac’s faith in god kept him strong every day. The letter reads: “Dear Sim, I’m sorry about your grandmother’s death I really am. I wanted 2 give u a few dayz to recover b4 writing u. Don’t worry baby everything will be alright. Believe me I have seen so many loved onez pass away and each time it’s like a piece of me died 2 but as the time passes I have gained strength from their spiritz as u will, trust me. I miss u very much and I hope your heart isn’t too heavy with pain. Today, an inmate was murdered by another inmate so everything is hectic. The jail is on super lockdown for 72 hours. This is the 2nd murder in 6 months. Death is all around me but my faith keeps me strong. My faith in god, my faith in me and my faith in us. Be strong Simi, and remember I am here 4 u through it all. Besidez all of that How R U? Is everything else okay? How is Kiren holding up? Spread my love 2 all affected please and try 2 keep ya head up. Until we speak again, I miss u, I remain Eternal 2Pac”.
