One-page handwritten letter written by Hall of Fame umpire Bill Klem in response to a query put to him by a Sergeant playing in an Army vs. Navy All-Star Game in New Guinea in March 1945. Klem methodically answered the Sergeant’s question on the back of the original letter along with signing it “W.J. Klem, Chief of Staff, National League Umpires” in black ink. Accompanied by the original envelope. Measures 8.5 x 11. Very Good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll® Certificate of Authenticity.
