Swashbuckling actor Douglas Fairbanks signed, and inscribed photograph dated “1929” in his hand appearing in costume from his role in the “Iron Mask,” the 1929 film sequel to “The Three Musketeers,” and the last silent film of his career. Fairbanks and actress Mary Pickford were the first actors to place their hand and footprints in cement in front of the famous Grauman’s Theatre. In 1927 Fairbanks was honored being elected the first President of the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences and in 1929 presenting the first ever Academy Awards. Very good condition. Matted 8.5 X 11. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
