John Lennon has made handwritten annotations to this Billboard magazine clipping which is dated December 6, 1980, only two days before he was tragically murdered in front of his home at the Dakota on December 8, 1980. Lennon has circled three movies on the Billboard Videocassette Top 40, "Star Trek," "The Muppet Movie" and "Emmanuelle" in blue sharpie pen, pink pen and gold pen. Lennon has written "Ssh!" next to Emmanuelle, perhaps a note to his assistant to be quiet about picking up that particular video for Lennon? He has also circled, and then crossed out "Coal Miner's Daughter" in pink pen. The clipping measures 7" x 14" and is in excellent condition, considering that it was originally ripped out of the Billboard magazine. Pre-authenticated by Beatles handwriting expert Frank Caiazzo. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll® Certificate of Authenticity.
