From the Farley Granger Collection. Montgomery Clift handwrote and signed this love letter "Love, Monty" to actor William LeMassena in black fountain pen. The letter was written in July 1947 (the envelope is post-dated July 18, 1947) and Clift writes about leaving for Switzerland the next day (he was going to shoot his first film "The Search") and wanting to see Laurence Olivier in "Hamlet." The letter measures 8 x 10 and is accompanied by Clift's handwritten original envelope that measures 6.5 x 3.5. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
