This Jimi Hendrix 1969 original concert poster created by the German artist Gunther Kieser is one of the most iconic of all rock posters and is featured in the seminal book "The Art Of Rock." plate 3.185. Many of these posters were printed in the United States during the U.S. portion of Jimi's 1969 tour, but this particular poster was first printed in West Germany, before Jimi's first U.S. tour, and then sent to the U.S. to be distributed by Darien House, Inc. This information is printed at the bottom of the poster. The poster was sold in Germany and in the U.S. to promote the tour as the 1/15/69 Stuttgart, Germany concert date wasn't an actual date that they performed - the Experience had that day off and they actually performed on the 19th. The poster measures 25 x 35.5 and has been affixed to foam board. With wear, including some buckling where it was glued to the foam board, small tears and creasing.
