KISS front man Gene Simmons stage used 1980 Steve Carr custom made #3 Prototype Bass Axe Guitar. Carr has signed the back of the neck in gold ink at the top, "KISS AXE #3 (1980),, #1 of 1, Steve Carr". With beautiful mother-of pearl inlay picture of Simmons on the top of the neck at the front. Accompanied by a soft Guitar Research case. Steve Carr was the guitar designer for KISS, and in addition to the extraordinary guitars he created for the band, they would often bring their guitars to him to be tweaked or fixed. The guitar comes from the personal collection of Terry Nix, owner of Guitars of the Stars, who was partners with the late Steve Carr. Terry's experience with KISS and with Steve Carr is extensive and he has built up an extraordinary collection over the years. This guitar comes with a letter of provenance from Terry Nix and a letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
