James Brown owned and used engraved wood jewelry box. From the collection of Irwin Pate, Brown's exclusive booking and promotional manager for fourteen years, from the late 1960's until the early 1980's. In addition to Brown, Pate worked with a variety of music's biggest artists and had a vast collection of clothing and other personal items from those he worked with and met over his many years in the industry. Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Irwin Pate's widow on Clarine Pate and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
