This is an ultra-rare Hamer Korina Explorer Guitar owned and played by Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. Brad used it as a studio & touring guitar with Aerosmith. Whitford played the guitar during the entire 1997 video for “Hole in My Soul” from the Nine Lives album. Brad also played it throughout the “Nine Lives” Tour. Most importantly, the guitar was played by Whitford during the Superbowl XXXV Halftime Show with Aerosmith, N’Sync, Justin Timberlake, Nelly, Mary Blige and Britney Spears at Raymond James stadium in Tampa, Florida on January 28th, 2001. Whitford playing the guitar during Aerosmith’s performance of the songs “Jaded” and “Walk this Way”. It was made in 1995, according to the Hamer serial number. This guitar was obtained directly from Brad. The guitar is in very good to excellent condition. The hard-shell case is its original Hamer case. It is fur lined. It is in very good condition showing some wear and tear on the exterior of the hard-shell case from years of touring. The lot comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Brad Whitford, the original touring case, a couple of guitar picks as well as a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
