This beautiful original final pencil study on red paper of Marilyn Monroe is part of Greg Hildebrandt’s American Beauties Retro Pin-up series. The yellow "police tape" that appears across the drawing on the image shown here is not present on the actual artwork. Greg Hildebrandt has interpreted one of the photos from Tom Kelley’s infamous Red Velvet series, which appeared in the first issue of Playboy magazine in 1953. Marilyn Monroe has long been the iconic pin-up model, sex symbol, actress, and legend on a global scale.
