Frank Lloyd Wright Paper From Original Fallingwater Blueprint.
One of Wright's most famous designs, and one of the most instantly recognizable examples of "organic architecture," Fallingwater (1934-1937) was designed as the weekend home of Edgar J. Kaufmann (1885-1955) and Liliane S. Kaufmann (1889-1952), a wealthy and influential Pittsburgh couple. The house was situated directly above and beside a waterfall along Bear Run, a 5-mile-long tributary of the Youghiogheny River in southwestern Pennsylvania. Fallingwater is known for its vertical elements of Pottsville sandstone, and its semi-circular concrete "trays" extending by cantilevering technology over the rushing stream below.
Offered here is an original piece of paper from the blueprints.
