Elvis Presley's owned and worn 10kt gold tiger's eye ring. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Elvis Presley. Irwin worked with Elvis and his manager Colonel Tom Parker several times in the 1970's. Irwin obtained this tiger's eye ring from a young woman who said she "got to meet" and "rub elbows" with Elvis after a concert. According to the young woman, Elvis gave her his ring during their meeting after she told him that she liked the ring and that tiger's eye was her birthstone. She said he generously took off the ring and gave it to her (Elvis was known for his generosity often given family, friends, employees and fans his clothing, jewelry and accessories when they admired them. The ring has been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Very good condition. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and this ring comes with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
