Elvis Presley's personally owned and stage worn 14kt yellow gold Chai pendant necklace. The diamond adorned Chai pendant is suspended from a 14kt yellow gold rope chain was worn by Elvis both on and off-stage. The "Chai" is a Hebrew word and symbol that means "life", "alive" or "meaning". Elvis always wore various religious pendants whether it was a cross, a Star of David , an Ankh or in this instance a Chai, and often remarked. "I don't want to miss Heaven on a technicality." Elvis was known to be extremely generous with his friends and those who worked for him (who he also considered friends), and after wearing jewelry for some time, he would graciously bestow it as a gift, sometimes even to fans. Elvis gave this necklace to his friend George Klein, (the local DJ in Memphis), at Graceland. Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from George Klein, a photo of Elvis wearing the same, or nearly identical, Chai pendant necklace, and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
